A graphic designer & illustrator based in mid/west Cornwall. I grew up in a built up inner city with graffiti, tattoos and murals all around me. An art sponge wanting to soak up everything I saw, starting with graffiti and sketching comics I didn’t turn back - taking a sketchbook and watercolour set travelling around Europe. I then went on to university to study illustration, where I also got into graphic design and all aspects of visual communication.
After university I landed a few in-house designer roles which expanded my repertoire and versatility. Working with an interior design company where I started using 3D programmes such as Sketchup and Blender and understanding the use of VR. My following role was with a vape company allowing me to expand into label and packaging design, photography and product mock-ups giving me experience with legal and compliance for product design.
I’ve never felt tied down to one particular style of design or illustration. I've been able to turn my hand to most forms of media in art and they all have their beauty and uses. However the one thing that brings it all together for myself is making sure things are handcrafted and pencil first.
Watercolour illustration has a special place in my heart due to its therapeutic nature of gradually building up pigment in select areas; it's the one style I’d consider myself an expert in.
Now with 10 years experience working with various companies and getting many products to market I'm especially keen to work with clients who are more eco conscious and striving towards B Corp status and have great stories.
